There are many methods of paper packaging printing, different methods, different operations, printing effect is also different. Traditionally used printing methods are divided into the following four categories:
1. Letterpress printing:
Letterpress printing refers to the graphic part of the printing plate is higher than the non-graphic part, the ink on the ink roll can only be transferred to the graphic part of the printing plate, and the non-graphic part is no ink, so as to complete the printing of the printed matter.
All printed paper back with slight impression convex, line or dot edge part neat, and printing ink in the center part of the light, is relief printing.
2. Intaglio printing:
In contrast to relief printing, the graphic portion of the plate is lower than the non-graphic portion, forming a groove. The ink is only covered in the groove, there is no ink on the surface of the plate, the paper is covered on the upper part of the plate, and the plate and the paper are pressed to transfer the ink from the concave part of the plate to the paper.
Gravure printing products have the advantages of thick ink layer, bright color, high printing resistance, stable printing quality and fast printing speed, so they have been widely used in practice.
3. Planographic printing:
The graphic part of the printing plate and the non-graphic part to keep the surface flat, the graphic part covered with a layer of oily oil film, and the non-graphic part of the absorption of appropriate moisture. Ink, part of the text and text repulsion and absorption of ink, part of the text and text due to the absorption of water and the formation of ink resistance.
Tip: Lithographic printing has become the most used method in printing today because of its simplicity and low cost.
4. Silk screen printing:
Screen printing refers to the squeegee extrusion, ink from the mesh of text part of the leakage to the substrate, and non-text part of the mesh is blocked, ink can not be leaked to the substrate, so as to complete the printing of printed matter.
Tip: Screen printing can also be large-area printing, printing products up to 3 meters ×4 meters, or even larger.
